The Three Pillars of Our Sustainability Strategy
Sustainability is often associated solely with climate protection. However, the concept goes far beyond that. This is why our strategy is based on three pillars. With this approach, we aim to make a comprehensive contribution that supports both economic and social goals.
Information on Our CO₂ Footprint
The calculation of our CO₂ footprint was based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard. In preparing this CO₂ balance and this report, the five core principles of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol Accounting and Reporting Standard were applied.
Scope 1 includes all emissions that occur directly, for example from company owned facilities or vehicle fleets.
Scope 2 covers emissions resulting from purchased energy, such as electricity and district heating.
Scope 3 includes all other emissions that are not under the company’s direct control, such as employee travel or product disposal.
Our Measures to Reduce Emissions
Our goal is to further reduce our emissions. This mainly affects Scope 3 emissions.
Organizations We Support
Through our birthday donation initiative, we donate 25 euros for each employee’s birthday to betterplace.org. In this way, we support PLANT MY TREE, Viva con Agua, and Ozeankind.
