Reporting & Controlling

Compare both generations

Reporting and controlling

Project controlling, before the month is over

troi shows budget, utilization, revenue and margin as the hours arrive, per project and across the company.

The troi dashboard: the week's hours per project, four open offers, and seven saved reports, utilization last run on Monday and profitability not yet run this quarter

Every number, as the hours arrive

troi builds its figures from the same records that hold the projects and the recorded hours. Budget, utilization and margin move with every entry, per project and across the company, without an export in between. Revenue and margin figures are part of the Intelligence plan, project figures require project structures in the Performance plan.

Budget used, remaining effort and the gap to what project estimation planned, per project and per phase. This requires project structures, which are part of the Performance plan.

Revenue, contribution and margin across clients, projects and services, over any period you choose. Part of the Intelligence plan.

Billable hours come straight out of time tracking, flagged and ready for the invoice run. Invoicing is part of the Intelligence plan.

The Smart Desk in troi five: projects in review with their recorded against planned hours and a bar for each, project tasks booked against their quota, and the week's working time
The troi dashboard in the morning: the week's revenue, expenses and net, the amount still to invoice across four projects, and two projects over budget
A time entry in troi: key visual variants, Tuesday 09:00 to 12:00, on a summer campaign, marked billable at 435.00 euros

An example

The overrun shows in week 33

  1. The quote sets the plan. Key visual variants is estimated at 31 hours, €4,495.
  2. Hours land as they are recorded. By Wednesday of week 33, 23 hours are on the line.
  3. The remaining effort is updated. The team estimates 11 more hours, so the phase lands at 34.
  4. The gap shows while it can still be closed. Three hours over plan, €435, visible in week 33, not in the month-end report. Project figures require project structures, which are part of the Performance plan.

How it works

See the gap while there is still time to act

The figures are built from the records themselves, filtered for the question at hand and handed on to accounting in one step. Every recorded hour updates the figures behind it, the same data answers a different question with each filter, and the export to Excel goes to accounting or your tax advisor.

Every entry updates the figures

Recorded hours, booked costs and accepted quotes update the figures behind them. Working hours and overtime are part of every plan, revenue and margin of the Intelligence plan.

And hand it on

Export to Excel in one step, for accounting or your tax advisor.
